WorkSmart | Turn on your talent

How honest are job applicants about their shortcomings and past failures?  Not very, according to recent surveys:

  • 56% of working people admit they have lied to their supervisors
  • 41% say they have falsified records
  • 64% admit using the Internet for personal reasons during working hours
  • 35% have stolen from their employers, by their own admission
  • 31% abuse drugs or alcohol

State and Federal laws make it difficult, even illegal for you to ask questions that can determine a job candidate's integrity. Past employers may not share negative information to avoid legal reprisal. If you avoid hiring "risky" candidates, can you prove that you did not discriminate? Without objective data, it may be impossible to prove that your decision was made without bias regarding gender, race, age, etc.

WorkSmart  has the tools you need to cut through the fakes and forgeries.  Partner with our experts and you’ll develop phone-based interviews that are cost-effective and 100% legal.  Our online pre-employment screening tools are low-cost and easy-to-use, valid for assessing everything from hourly to professional applicants.   Whether by-phone, online, or in-person, you’ll get a credible, dependable knowledge of job candidates' personal integrity, substance abuse, reliability, and work ethic.
